What Is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a data protection law that gives people in the EU and UK specific rights over their personal data and sets rules for how organisations collect, use, and protect personal data. In the UK, it applies as the UK GDPR alongside the Data Protection Act 2018.
Does GDPR Apply to Elegrab?
Yes. GDPR applies to the processing of personal data belonging to people in the UK or EU, regardless of where the organisation processing it is based. If you are in the UK or EU and use Elegrab, GDPR governs how Elegrab handles your personal data.
Who Is the Data Controller for My Data?
Elegrab is the data controller for personal data processed through elegrab.com. Privacy questions and GDPR rights requests can be sent to admin@elegrab.com.
What Personal Data Does Elegrab Process?
Elegrab mainly processes a device identifier used to enforce the free-tier capture limit, together with standard technical information such as your IP address and request timestamps. If you email Elegrab, we also process your email address and the content of your message. The Privacy Policy provides the full detail about personal data Elegrab collects and why it is processed.
What Is the Legal Basis for Processing My Data?
Most processing relies on necessity—to provide the capture you requested—or on legitimate interests to keep the Service secure and working. Where Elegrab uses non-essential cookies, processing relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. See the Cookie Policy for details.

- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing relies on consent, such as non-essential cookies, withdraw consent through the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
How Do I Exercise My GDPR Rights with Elegrab?
Email admin@elegrab.com and state which GDPR right you want to exercise. Because Elegrab does not require an account for the free tier, include enough information for us to locate your data accurately, such as the approximate date and time you used the Service or the IP address you used.
How Long Does Elegrab Have to Respond to a GDPR Request?
Elegrab will respond within one month of receiving your request. For complex or numerous requests, the response period may be extended by a further two months. If an extension is needed, Elegrab will tell you within the first month and explain why.
Will I Be Charged for a GDPR Request?
No. GDPR rights requests are normally free of charge. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, Elegrab may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act where GDPR permits this.
Does Elegrab Have a Data Protection Officer (DPO)?
Not currently. Elegrab's processing does not meet the scale or risk thresholds that make a Data Protection Officer mandatory under Article 37 GDPR. Privacy questions and GDPR rights requests should be sent to admin@elegrab.com.
What If I Am Not Happy with How My GDPR Request Was Handled?
You can complain to your national data protection authority at any time. You do not need to contact Elegrab first. In the UK, the relevant authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you can contact your local supervisory authority.
Where Can I Read More About Elegrab's Privacy Practices?
